Some of you may remember seeing the comedian Tiffany Haddish grace SNL with her all white halter Alexander Mcqueen dress.  Key notes are the jeweled neckline and the mid-slit. Once again the comedian has brought out her stunning dress for another rerun, this time on the cover of People’s magazine, for it’s eighth and final run.

When speaking to PEOPLE mag, Tiffany remarked she may bring out the dress again should it be for her wedding ceremony. I’m thinking we should keep our eyes pealed for it long before, given that she’s worn it out eight times. Who can blame her? According to the comedian she spent a whopping $4k on the dress without realizing she couldn’t return it. 

Tiffany is not unlike many starlets we love, Katy Perry being one of the bigger names coming to mind. The pop icon is not afraid to pull high glam looks from the same designer, her go-to also being frequent Alexander Mcqueen gowns for formal events.

Which begs the question, why?

Why are Hollywood’s biggest names so in love with Alexander Mcqueen, and what is it about this design house that seems to bring in stars across all mediums?

The design house was originally founded back in 1992 by Lee Alexander Mcqueen, currently under creative direction from Sarah Burton. At a pretty young age of 29 years, the brand is seemingly doing very well for itself. Early on Alexander Mcqueen earned a rebellious reputation, being quoted as the “hooligan of English fashion” stemming from shock tactics and eye-opening moves, such as naming a collection “Highland Rape”.

The founder himself designed a whopping 36 collections before his unfortunate suicide. Dressing icons such as Diana Ross, Lily Collins, Katy Perry, and Tiffany Haddish. It is easy to see why people with an eye tend to flock here.
